Usually value in currencies is set by nominal value. However each material also has a real value and possess certain qualities. The true qualities in Nordic Gold (material of which the €0,10 €0,20 and €0,50 cent coins are made) are revealed in both their esthetic properties as their symbolic references. This family of mirrors is made from polished coins and gives space for reflection in various ways.

Designer Lex Pott (1985) employs a raw and intuitive method. In his work, he returns to the origin of the materials he uses most: wood, stone and metal. He does not hide his designs under indirect layers, but reduces them to their very essence. He graduated cum laude in 2009 at the Design Academy Eindhoven.
