Piet came up with the idea for this bench in order to use up the huge amount of beams they had in stock. To brighten up the world in the midst of a financial crisis, they spray painted the benches in bright primary colors. Every beam is cut into pieces to make two legs, a rail and a seat. The essence is that nothing is wasted and that the dimensions of the bench are determined by the length of a single beam.
