In 2004, Hella Jongerius designed a series of plates for porcelain factory Nymphenburg. For these plates, she selected eight animals from the 700 kept in the archives of Nymphenburg. The figurative painted animals have been combined with hand-painted abstract patterns from Nymphenburg that were used in previous series.
