MVRDV

MVRDV is an architecture and urbanism practice creating optimistic, innovative places for people and cities worldwide. Founded in 1993 by Winy Maas, Jacob van Rijs, and Nathalie de Vries, the studio has grown into a global team of over 300 architects and designers, working from offices in Rotterdam, Paris, Berlin, Shanghai, and New York. Their projects range from bold landmarks like Markthal, Valley, and Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen to transformative urban visions that rethink how communities live, work, and connect.

Driven by collaboration and research, MVRDV combines imagination with technical expertise to shape a more sustainable and joyful future. From regenerating iconic structures such as the Pyramid of Tirana to developing resilient, green masterplans worldwide, the practice creates architecture that is socially engaged, forward-looking, and deeply connected to people and place.

Available now at The Frozen Fountain, we present High Profile: MVRDV’s debut lighting collection, created in collaboration with Belgian company Delta Light.

First unveiled at Milan Design Week, the series reimagines leftover aluminium profiles from the lighting industry, transforming what is normally discarded into bold, colourful luminaires.

Led by MVRDV founding partner Jacob van Rijs, the design team embraced a sustainable, conceptual approach, revealing the contrast between raw production processes and the polished objects seen in showrooms. The result is a playful collection that merges Delta Light’s craftsmanship with MVRDV’s architectural imagination.
