Nienke Sikkema graduated at the Royal Academy of Arts the Hague after studying history and journalism at the University of Amsterdam. After graduating she started working at the Oude Horn, the glassblowing studio of Bernard Heesen. There she learned the craft of glassblowing and started executing her own designs in glass.

The giant orbs of glass that make up the 5 arm Candelabra appear to be about meling away. The candelabra is constructed from collapsed orbs of solid glass, cut directly from the rod while still molten. They are carefully and skillfully stacked in a unique handmade process that Sikkema has meticulously perfected. This piece of art is the ultimate centrepiece in your interior. The thick, translucent shimmering elements look seductively tactile. You want to touch it.

Because each piece is handmade, there will be individual differences, making it a unique and one-of-a-kind product.
