WhiteNoiseDADA is a multidisciplinary design studio founded by Klaas Kuiken and Charley Reijnders in 2019, based in Arnhem. Rooted in the spirit of Punk and Dadaism, the studio embraces an absurdist and provocative approach to design: questioning fixed truths, dissecting capitalist systems, and exploring the quirks of human behaviour through satire, colour, and form.
With bold aesthetics and a healthy dose of irony, WhiteNoiseDADA creates design objects that challenge conventions and ignite imagination. Their work is young, irreverent, and socially engaged, blending critical thought with playful experimentation.
In this series of artworks, WhiteNoiseDADA transforms discarded plastics and artificial flowers into poetic, sculptural still lifes that echo the opulent flower paintings of the 17th century. What once symbolised beauty and transience is reimagined through synthetic remnants of modern consumption. These works become fossils of our time, capturing the traces of a disposable culture with both wit and melancholy. Each piece is unique in colour, shape, and composition, pressed and formed using a self-built machine that reflects the studio’s experimental and hands-on approach to making.
