This chair has been around for a while now. The idea was simple: the slats that are used all have the same width and thickness. The back arrow that continues, creates a triangle that offers strength. At Piet Hein Eek they liked the chair but it was not further developed, partly because the cushions are quite expensive to manufacture and they thought the design would be difficult to sell. The cutting machine that they are using for the packaging can also cut fabric for this comfortable chair, which considerably reduces the upholstery costs.
