Studio Thier & van Daalen is the Eindhoven-based design practice of Iris van Daalen and Ruben Thier. Working at the intersection of lighting and objects, the studio explores the expressive potential of glass, colour, and light. Their practice combines traditional craftsmanship with material experimentation, creating pieces that shape the atmosphere and experience of a space.

The Bloom wall lights draw inspiration from the subtle colour gradients of flower petals and the way light filters through glass. Each piece is crafted using the traditional rondel glassblowing technique, in which a blown glass bubble is spun into a flat circular form. During this process, layers of colour flow and blend naturally across the surface, giving every lamp its own unique character.

Paired with a minimal aluminium structure and integrated LED lighting, the glass softly captures, reflects, and diffuses light, creating a warm and atmospheric glow. Balancing technical precision with the organic qualities of the handmade process, the Bloom series functions equally as functional lighting and as sculptural wall objects.
