The Buoy lamps are a testament to the principle of flotation, with their lightness and weightlessness. Buoy comes from the word buoyancy, it means the force which, around an object immersed in a liquid or gas, is opposed to that of gravity. The Buoy lamps are entirely designed, manufactured and assembled by hand in Paris.
Wide is the collection that aims to stay true to the original proportions according to which the modules were conceived, challenging a height that exceeds 3 meters. Each module, in fact, turns out to be larger the double of the standard dimensions, but the lamp's composition remains free from any constraints, preserving the complete freedom of choice.
The production moves primarily from digital drawing to physical output through the use of 3D printing. Each part is individually printed and then assembled by hand, this allows Lucas Zito to control every step of the production at all time and only use the necessary material. The use of a specific material takes always into account the possible recycling, also to avoid accumulating different materials. All the lightings are made from PLA, a bioplastic made from cornstarch.
