Chaise Tout Bois | Natural Oak

Designed by Jean Prouvé during the Second World War, the Chaise Tout Bois is the only chair in his oeuvre made entirely from wood. Created as an alternative to his iconic Standard chair during a period of metal scarcity, the design reflects Prouvé's engineering-led approach, with a distinctive rear frame that reinforces the area subjected to the greatest load.

Following extensive prototyping, the chair was ultimately produced in oak and plywood, materials chosen for their exceptional strength and durability. Today, the Chaise Tout Bois stands as a timeless example of Prouvé's fusion of structural ingenuity and elegant simplicity.
