Grandma Patterns is a five-piece rug collection by Dutch artist Rop van Mierlo, founder of Wild Animals, created in collaboration with Milan-based rug atelier cc-tapis.

Known for their contemporary designs and artisanal craftsmanship, cc-tapis produces hand-knotted rugs in natural wool using traditional techniques. Inspired by the warmth of tartan, each design transforms classic plaid into a vivid work of art through Van Mierlo’s signature wet-on-wet painting style, blending nostalgic comfort with bold, contemporary expression.
