Vesna Vrdoljak is a collage artist who lives and works in Amsterdam. Originally skilled in European Film and Aesthetics at Masters level, Vesna did not see herself as an artist until she started working with collage in 2012. 

The process began organically as Vesna combined appealing images from old books and magazines, and she is self-taught. Vesna fuses photographs and pieces of paper to create narrative arrangements, all of which are cut and glued by hand. 

These recent collages are about beauty and escapism. The pure aesthetics of composition and color combinations. The tactility of mainly old photos and paper is a major value in Vesna het work.

Each work is framed by Vesna herself. The choice of passepartout and type of frame requires a different approach for each work. It can make or break a work.
