Piet Hein Eek

Philips cabinet

The Philips Cabinet was created when Piet Hein Eek found metal framed doors on the old business park of Philips in Eindhoven. The material had been discarded by Philips when they moved to Amsterdam. Piet Hein Eek originally began with the production of a series based on the upcycled metal framed doors as well as the handmade hinges and latches.
