Pepijn Fabius Clovis describes himself as an autonomous designer. “I create interior objects, usable sculptures, products, and furniture.” What sets him apart from many of his colleagues is his choice of material: waste. Or as he calls it, “residual material”. Not so much to make new material, but to be able to use it integrally again.” The latter is mainly a matter of imagination: “I stand out because of my boundless imagination and playful design, which is free from all conventions.”

This Practice vase of recycled wood has a finished of several layers/ colors industrial lacquer. By sanding each layer, the several underlayers become visible. This layering gives the vase dept and the feeling of a "fresco".
