Press Room chair

The Press Room Chair was designed by Gerrit Rietveld for the press room of UNESCO’s headquarters in Paris. The chair clearly reflects Rietveld’s signature design language, with clean lines and a balanced geometric relationship between the seat and backrest.

The straight armrests and defined forms subtly echo the structure of his iconic Red and Blue Chair. Double-stitched seams emphasize the clarity of the design and add a distinctive character to the piece.

While Rietveld considered a chair primarily as an architectural element within a space, the Press Room Chair offers a surprising level of comfort, making it both a sculptural object and an inviting place to sit.

Available in tree options: Oak Natural, Oak Black or Walnut armrest. Upholstery is available in a wide range of colours and materials.
