Despite of repeated requests, Piet didn’t actually want to make this stool because it seemed to be too simple to him. But a client was very insistent. It’s a good thing she was because, once it was finished, it turned out to be quite attractive and well thought-out enough to be sold as a serious product. After making a few minor adjustments, the stool could also be stacked simply by rotating it slightly each time. This stool has been almost continuously in production ever since.
