The curated selection of these vintage rugs is the life work of a half-century travel into the hidden valleys of Southern Persia to find exotic tribes and their unique rug art. In the 70-80's Mohammad Naziri traded his rugs to art dealers and collectors across the globe - after his passing away his collection has been dormant for decades. Hidden in his warehouse in Iran and Hamburg. Now his family is continuing the legacy.
These rugs were never made for commercial purposes, instead they represent romantic gifts from a wife to her husband, a wedding gift, a gift for a newborn or just the personal desire to beautify one's own surroundings. All these rugs were crafted while traveling through the mountains and are inspired by nature and the artist's dreams. The last witness of real and honest art.
Slight irregularities and variations in color and size add to uniqueness and authenticity and by no means diminish the value of the rug. They hold the belief that true beauty lies in imperfection.
